Regenstrief Institute is changing the production release calendar for LOINC and its transition time!
The new calendar will have releases each February and August; retaining the every six months duration.  
This year 2021 is special in that after the June 10th release of LOINC 2.70 a month ago, there will be a short release during August 2021.
Those already subscribed at loinc.org are already receiving the announcements.
Be sure your organization has their team updated on when to perform audits of new releases. Regenstrief Institute and the Lab LOINC committee recommend that sites have updated to latest release within 90 days.
If you haven’t started June’s audit, might as well wait for August.
