Quantified Mapping Experience

The 3M HDD contains approximately 3 million active concepts, 40 million representations, and 30 million relationships from standard terminologies and custom additions made over the past 20 years. For lab results alone, we have mapped more than a million local codes from over a hundred interfaces or systems. We are the largest contributor to LOINC, accounting for 9% of the codes, and we also submit requests to SNOMED CT on behalf of our clients. In addition, our maintenance mapping services keep our clients’ mappings updated with changes from their local systems and new releases from the standards.

Expert Clinical Team

The 3M HDD team consists of medical informaticists, terminologists and clinicians who have experience in various areas of healthcare such as lab, pharmacy, nursing, radiology and medical coding. We contribute to informatics and the healthcare field by serving as educators and graduate student advisors, presenting at conferences, publishing in academic and industry journals, and sharing our lessons learned with our clients.
