Lee Min Lau

Lee Min Lau

Lee Min Lau, MD PhD has led the 3M HDD team since 1995. Lee Min has a doctorate from the Department of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Utah, where she is an adjunct faculty. Her interests are in medical terminologies and vocabulary standards, focusing on their implementation and operational use in healthcare. She has shared her knowledge through publications and presentations, including in-depth tutorials regarding medical vocabulary implementation and mapping, at national conferences.

Prior to joining 3M, Lee Min was the Chief of Quality Assurance and Outcomes Research at the University of Utah Hospital. That experience instilled in her a passion for high quality data to enable improvement in health care delivery and outcome. She is dedicated to the development, implementation and promotion of semantic interoperability towards this goal.
