To promote industry connections and an emphasis on curricular relevance, the University of Utah Department of Biomedical Informatics holds industry-sponsored mini-conferences every April and October, called the IAB (Industry Advisory Board) Talks.
As a member of the Industry Advisory Board (IAB) of the University of Utah Department of Biomedical Informatics, I get the opportunity to participate in and shape the curriculum and career development opportunities for graduate students in the field of biomedical informatics.
